קשה להאמין, את הבלוג הזה אני כותב כבר 3 שנים.

האדם שהתחיל לכתוב פה ואני, שונים כל כך. הוא גר בתל אביב, עם חברה שלו. זה היה נראה לו מאד רציני שהם קנו יחד מזרן למיטה. איך דברים משתנים. אני מניח שראיתם את זה גם בבלוג. מי שקרא אותו איתי חווה את המהפכים הגדולים וההתרגשויות. אירוסין, חתונה, ירח דבש, פיטורין ועבודות חדשות, ההריון והלידה של יואב. בל נשכח, גם המעבר לרמת גן. המהפיכה הבורגנית הושלמה

בהתחלה רציתי לדבר על פילוסופיה. לספר חוויות מהחיים. לאט לאט הדברים השתנו, אם זה החיים, ואם זה המצב פה בארץ שלא מפסיק להטריף אותי. הבלוג נהיה הרבה יותר פוליטי, והרבה יותר אישי ממה שדמיינתי.

אני לא כותב הרבה כמו פעם, בעיקר כי הזמן נהיה משאב יקר מאד, כשאתה עובד, נשוי ואבא. גם כשיש זמן, תאמינו לי שאין הרבה אנרגיה. אבל ממשיכים, גם אם קצת לאט יותר.

3 Years and some change.

It is hard to believe, but I have been writing this blog for 3 years.

The guy who started writing this blog, and me, are very different. He was a bachelor living in Tel Aviv, who moved in with his girlfriend, and thought it was a big step to buy a mattress with her. Boy do things change, eh? I guess you read it in the blog. If you read with me the whole story, you were there for all the big exciting stories. The engagement, the wedding, the honeymoon. Losing my job and finding another. The pregnancy, and Yoav's birth and infancy. Oh, and the final step of the bourgeois transition - the big move to Ramat Gan.

At the beginning, I just wanted to babble a bit about life in general, my experiences, and a bit of philosophy. But somehow with time, the blog changed. Perhaps it is just life that has changed, along with the political situation here that is driving me insane. The blog became much more personal, and much mre political than I first intended.

Sadly, I also do not write as often as I did. Mostly since time becomes a rare resource, when you are working, married, and a dad. Also, even when you have the time, you often lack the energy.

Still, I will continue, even if not as often as before.

לפני כמה ימים אורלי הלכה לעבודה ליום שלם. זו היתה הפעם הראשונה שהיא היתה בלי יואב ליותר משעתיים. כשחזרה הביתה, נפתחה הדלת, והיא חלפה על פני בטיסה, והשתרעה על יואב בחיבוקים ונשיקות. ראו שהמרחק ממנו כאב לה פיזית. לא עבר הרבה זמן מהיום הראשון שלי בעבודה, והבנתי אותה.

כשההורים שלי או של אורלי מגיעים אלינו, הם מצליחים לשלוט בעצמם טיפה יותר, וזורקים לנו שלום חפוז לפני שהם מתנחלים ליד יואב, עם הרבה פוצי מוצי וגרגורים. זה מוזר מאד. במעגלים חברתיים שונים, אין לי בעיה שמישהו מגיע ואומר לי שלום אחרי אנשים אחרים. אבל פתאום האנשים שהכי קרובים אלי, שאמורים לאהוב אותי הכי בעולם, שמים אותי במקום השני.

פתאום יש לי מקום אחר בעולם. גם בפני עצמי. לא משנה כמה בא לי לישון, כמה בא לי לטוס לתאילנד, כמה אין לי כוח בדיוק עכשיו, ברור לחלוטין שיואב בא לפניי. גם בעולם הפנימי שלי, פתאום יש מישהו חשוב ממני. יש רגעים שזה צורב וכואב, יש רגעים שזה רק משונה. גם לזה נתרגל אני מניח.

Second Place

A few days ago, Orly went to work for a whole day. It was the first time she was away from Yoav for so long. When she got home, the door flew open, and she made a "whoosh" sound as she flew by me, and wrapped Yoav for minutes in hugs and kisses. You could tell the distance from him hurt her physically. Only days after my 1st day on the job, I could understand her completely.

When My parents, or hers, or any of our family come by, they are slightly more polite, and they stop for a quick hi, before moving on to the main attraction. It should not be so strange, in other social occasions, I am used to being noticed later, or said hello to on the fly. But now, it is the closest people to me that are placing me in second place.

All of a sudden, I have a new place in the world, even when I look at myself in the mirror. No matter how tired I might be, how much I want to go to Thailand or how much I really don't have the energy just this minute, Yoav comes first. Even inside, deep in my heart, that little guy comes first now.

There are moments when it really hurts, there are moments where it just stings. I guess you get used to this too.
